Quick Performance Boost for your Computer by Deleting Temp Files in Windows

Temporary files are the files automatically in windows while using it. After a long period of usage these files pile up and use up a lot of disk space in the C drive. And these files also cause stuttering. These files are unwanted (after the use) and deleting this files do not harm your Cato delete the temp files first you have to open the folder containing these files. Search for Run in Start menu or press windows key in keyboard to open Run. Type TEMP, click Know the folder will be open. Delete all the files/folders. Just skip the files which cannot be deleted. Now repeat the method by typing %TEMP% in Run. It’s done! You can free disk space using Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter. For opening these search in the Start menu. Using Disk cleanup in Windows you can delete other unnecessary files too. Fragmentation makes your hard disk do extra work that can slow down your computer. Removable storage devices such as USB flash drives can also become fragmented. Disk Defragmenter rearranges fragmented data so your disks and drives can work more efficiently. Disk Defragmenter runs on a schedule, but you can also analyze and defragment your disks and drives manually. To do this, follow these steps:
  • Click on the start menu and search for Disk Defragmenter.
  • Select the disk you want to defragment.
  • To determine if the disk needs to be defragmented or not, click Analyze disk.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation is finished analyzing the disk, you can check the percentage of fragmentation on the disk in the column. If the number is above 10%, you should defragment the disk. Defragment disk if you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Disk Defragmenter might take from several minutes to a few hours  to finish, depending on the size and degree of fragmentation of your hard disk.  You can still use your computer during the defragmentation process.

Note: Do not delete temp files always as the installation files extracts its files first into temp folders. After Installation completes you can delete it.
