How to Connect Nokia Mobile Phones to a PC for Accessing Internet

Nokia mobile phones with GPRS connectivity can be used as a modem to connect the PC to Internet. For that you have to connect the phone to a Windows 7 PC over Bluetooth. You can simply do this without Nokia PC suite.

First you have to connect your Bluetooth Adapter to the Coif the Adapter is installed correctly an icon of Bluetooth will be seen in the notification area. Now you have to add the phone to the Devices of computer. Turn on Bluetooth on the phone. Right click on the Bluetooth icon and click on Add a Device. Or you can do this from Control Panel>Devices and Printers>Add a device. When you click on add a device, Windows will search for devices. Select your device from the list and click next. Accept "pair with PC?" dialogue on the phone, type the code shown in the window in the Phone. Now the phone will be paired with the PC. Device drivers will be now installed. Some are not installed – you don’t worry about that (it's not a problem). And now right click on Nokia 2600c-2(or whatever is the name of your Bluetooth device) icon in the Devices. Connect using Access Point. Now your PC will connect to the Phone and will be connected to the Internet. I f you can't connect to Internet make sure that your phone has the correct web settings. The phone will be frequently disconnected from the PC so keep the devices and printers window minimized. When phone becomes disconnected click on the device in the Devices and Printers and Connect using>Access Point. As Nokia 2600c-2 Phone uses GPRS technology the Internet connection will be a bit slow. You can connect most of the Nokia phones through this method.

Note: Phones can be connected to computer using Nokia PC Suite too. With PC suite you can connect over USB, Bluetooth and Infrared connections. I think the connection is faster but not stable. Suggestions or for any help on doubts, you can leave a comment.
