I myself was an intense gamer before. But now I don't get much time to spend with games. I wanted to share some tips for pc gamers for a better game play. Most of you use must be using Windows operating system on their computers. And I will be focusing on tips for Windows systems. Road Rash is the motorcycle-racing game from Electronic Arts. Road Rash is also available in PC. Road Rash is a bit old game but still fun to play. Road Rash is one of the best games of all time. It will work perfectly on low end systems. But in Windows 7 and later version there seems to be some compatibility issues. The game can be opened and played; the problem is with the display. When a race begins the colours becomes all distorted. But the game runs without any other errors. The same thing is happening with Windows 8 too I think. I think the real trouble with the Graphics drivers. My friend with same O.S as mine doesn't have this issue. So first update display drivers using Windows update or from the respective websites of display adapter manufacturer. Bass boost is one of the Enhancements available in Windows for audio. This feature is only available with the Windows generic audio driver. This option is not available when you have installed a sound driver like VIA Audio. Equalizer option which gives the same effect is available with these drivers. With bass boost you can increase boost of one frequency playing on the computer. If you've got good sound systems on your computer it'll be better to leave this disabled. If you have a two speaker system, (and no subwoofers) you may get good results. Open the Sound from Control panel or right click on volume control in the task bar and open Playback. Double click on the device to open it. The Bass Boost can be enabled in the Enhancements tab. Now I will tell about some errors within windows causing failure and of course how to fix them. The Windows may not start-up due to the errors in boot configuration. GRUB is the Boot loader installed with Ubuntu. If you have GRUB and it is not working properly you can repair it using the Ubuntu Installation DVD. Insert the DVD while booting and press F12 to select the device to boot. From that select your CD Drive (It must be the name of the model of the CD drive).Now the DVD will boot. Then select Try Ubuntu. Now Ubuntu will start up. Open Terminal from Applications>Accessories>Terminal. Type "sudo -i". Now type your password if it asks. Type "update grub”. You have to find the name of the partition which Ubuntu is installed. That can be founded by typing "fdisk -l". Then type "grub-install /dev/x". The x should be replaced by the name of the partition which Ubuntu is installed. (For example, mine was "grub-install /dev/sda9"). It worked for me.
